Matthew holds a PhD in Quantum Stochastic Calculus from the University of Nottingham. He is interested in the workings of time and the mechanisms of nature. He has been tutoring since completion of his PhD and continues to carry out research in Quantum Mechanics and Gravitation.
Over the past few years, Matthew has been actively involved in the SIMBlock project, collaborating closely with Frank on comprehensive analyses. In 2025, he was appointed as a Director of SIMBlock, and since then, the project has progressed at a significantly accelerated pace.

Shirin Jowhari Moghadam
PhD, MSc, Beng (Hons) in Civil and Structural Engineering
Structural Engineer
Shirin holds a PhD in Computational Structural Mechanics from Imperial College London. Her research was aimed to present simplified mechanics-based tools to enhance the understanding of a complex phenomenon called "Plastic Buckling". She is an active member of IStructE and has invaluable industry-related work experience which is extremely useful to engineering students.
Shirin has played a key role in the SIMBlock project, providing essential support while ensuring the structural integrity and design of the prototype concrete block-making machine. She is also leading the development of the project’s concrete mix composition.

Francesca Brown

With a first class masters degree in music business Frannie has spent a lot of time immersing herself in how to best utilise social media for organic marketing. She has worked with small businesses to grow their accounts to reach new audiences in engaging ways resulting in over 30 million organic views.
​She has worked with major labels (Sony Sweden, Warner Chappell​) and global brands (P&G Pro) as well has having her marketing work featured on national platforms including BBC Radio 1, ITV News and The Times.
